Summer Fitness Classes

Ready to get fit while having fun? Triton College will be offering Total Fitness for credit (PED 106) or noncredit (PED C37) through the School of Continuing Education. Classes will be held in Triton’s Fitness Center in the R Building, part of the George T. Jorndt Athletic Complex. Tuition is affordable, and the class is one college credit hour, counting toward curriculum programs or transferrable to other universities. The course may be repeated for a maximum of four accrued credits.

Instructors with higher degrees in exercise science will teach students in Total Fitness the safe and effective use of strength and cardio exercise equipment, with the goal of improving body composition, physiological strength and flexibility.  This is a great course for high school and college students to start college credit, while learning to safely and effectively work out.  Community members can also take this class through continuing education for non-credit.

Students registered for PED 106 will have access to the Fitness Center during class time, as well as during regular operating hours. The pool is also available during class sessions and open swim hours for those registered. Please refer to the schedule for class times.

Other fitness classes include Hatha Yoga (PED 101), Aquasize (PED 113), Walking for Fitness (PED 117) and Boxing for Fitness (PED 125).
