Triton College’s Career Services is hosting several workshops this spring to help students kick-start their careers. Open to the entire Triton community, these workshops cover topics from resume writing to enhancing an online presence.

Discovering Your Career Interests: Career Exploration and the Super Strong Assessment.

· Tuesday, Jan. 28, 11 a.m., Room A-122B (A Building).

· Wednesday, Jan. 29, 11 a.m., Room A-122B (A Building), and 1:15 p.m., Room T-106 (T Building).

Discover your career interests using the SuperStrong Assessment, a tool to help you identify potential career paths. This workshop is perfect for those seeking a new direction.

Resume Writing: Crafting your Professional Story

· Tuesday, Feb. 4, 11 a.m., Room A-122B (A Building).

· Wednesday, Feb. 5, 11 a.m., Room A-122B (A Building), and 1:15 p.m., Room T-106 (T Building).

What do recruiters look for in a resume? Learn how to implement keywords in a resume to get noticed. Participants will also learn about the STAR formula to land their next job interview. After the workshop, set an appointment with a Triton Career Services specialist to receive personalized guidance with your resume.

In today’s challenging job market, finding the right opportunity can feel overwhelming. This workshop is designed for a recent graduate looking to make a career change or for an experienced professional facing an unexpected job loss.

LinkedIn 101: Setting Yourself Up for Success

· Tuesday, March 4, 11 a.m., in Room A-122B (A Building).

· Wednesday, March 5, 11 a.m., in Room A-122B (A Building), and 1:15 p.m., Room T-106 (T Building).

Participants will learn how to develop their personal brand using LinkedIn and other social media networks. Students can create a LinkedIn account or edit their existing one. Participants will have the opportunity to take a professional picture with Triton’s CareerCube.

Speak Smart, Act Sharp: Professionalism and Communication Strategies for All
