Arturo Fajardo Jr. of Maywood chose Triton College for its affordability, opportunities, and dedicated instructors. He was especially drawn to the campus, particularly the grounds, and felt a strong connection to what the college had to offer.

“The Transfer Center, especially Ian, has been a huge help in guiding me on what steps to take next,” said Fajardo. “They’ve truly assisted me in planning for my future.”

After graduating from Proviso East High School, Fajardo was eager to attend college, and Triton’s community-oriented environment felt like the perfect fit. He has particularly enjoyed his classes and the engaging instructors, who have made learning both interesting and enjoyable.

Looking ahead, Fajardo plans to transfer to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (U of I) after graduating from Triton in May 2026. He believes the Transfer Center has played a crucial role in helping him achieve this goal.

“U of I is a competitive school,” he said. “I’ll do my best, and the Transfer Center is guiding me in choosing the right classes and navigating the application process to reach my dream school.”

Fajardo encourages future students to consider Triton College, calling it a great "stepping-stone" toward a four-year university. He emphasizes the importance of using the Transfer Center early on to ensure a smooth credit transfer and staying connected with instructors, peers, and campus activities.

“Building a resume early on will help you prepare for college and for transferring to a university,” he said. “Becoming an active member of the Triton College community truly makes a difference. The community here is incredibly positive.”
