Facilities
Triton College offers excellent facilities for its students, faculty, staff, and the entire community to enjoy. Whether it is state-of-the-art classrooms, athletic facilities, computer labs, performance space, the library or the renowned Cernan Earth and Space Center, Triton College is committed to maintaining the best and most up-to-date facilities for public and private use.
Many of our facilities are available for rental, including classrooms and conference spaces, computer labs, dining rooms, athletics and recreation facilities, and gallery and performance space.
Academic Success Center
The Academic Success Center (ASC) provides face-to-face and online tutoring, mentoring and academic review workshops. The ASC also maintains a variety of student support resources, such as models, textbooks, videos and cutting edge technology.
Athletic Complex
Triton College completed renovations on the East Campus Athletic Complex in 2017. The upgrades included a new synthetic turf multi-purpose field and updated, lighted baseball and softball fields with state-of-the-art field houses and bleacher buildings to give Triton's Athletics Program safe and sustainable playing fields. Track and field components were also added.

Bakery
Triton’s Jerome J. Drosos School of Culinary Arts runs a fully operational retail bakery that also serves as a culinary laboratory for hospitality students. Open to the public, the bakery sells a variety of fine baked goods, and accepts special orders in person or via phone. To order from the bakery, please call (708) 456-0300, Ext. 3387. Special orders require a minimum of one week’s notice.
Bookstore
Located on the Triton campus near the cafeteria in the B Building, the Triton College bookstore sells and rents new and used textbooks. Reference books and general reading material, as well as office supplies, software, electronic products, gifts, and a full line of Triton apparel are also available for purchase.
Cernan Earth and Space Center
With a public planetarium on the campus of Triton College, the Cernan Earth and Space Center offers regularly scheduled Earth and sky shows, children's shows, and laser light shows. The Cernan Earth and Space Center houses a 93-seat dome theater. It also provides a unique location for meetings, receptions or employee appreciation nights. The Star Store gift shop offers unique items for science enthusiasts of all ages.
Child Development Center
The Triton College Child Development Center offers pre-school and toddler programs. Flex-time is a special program for students with children. While students attend classes, children learn in a safe, caring environment on the college campus. The Child Development Center Lab School at Triton College offers a range of high-quality, supervised educational programs for children ages 15 months through 5 years that are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Children participate in developmentally appropriate activities with teachers and classmates.
Classrooms Labs and Lecture Halls
Triton maintains quality classrooms, labs, and lecture halls that feature state-of-the-art electronic equipment, computers, and audio-visual services. Many of these facilities are available for rental at a reasonable price.
Educational Technology Resource Center (ETRC)
The Educational Technology Resource Center (ETRC) provides support for multi-factor authentication (MFA), all Online/Blackboard courses, the Student Portal, and Triton student email, providing in person, phone, and online orientations, online tutorials, Microsoft application tutorials, and Microsoft application certified tests. The test is available by signing up through the Continuing Education Department; the cost for each test is $80.00 plus a registration fee of $5.00. Additionally, the lab features current technology and software for students.
Fitness Center
Triton’s newly renovated fitness center, was completed in 2017. The fitness center is located on the lower level of the R Building, on the east side of Triton’s campus. Whether you prefer free weights, cardio, classes or a combination of all three, the new 6,000 square foot center features top of the line equipment along with experienced Fitness Center staff and instructors who will guide you on your path to fitness. Food Services
Triton College's food service is operated by TriCafe in the cafeteria located in the B Building. There are also snack shops located in the R and H Buildings. Vending machines are also located throughout the campus.
H Building
Triton’s Health and Sciences Facility features a surgical technology and dissection lab, a relaxed seating area and collaborative learning spaces with Wi-Fi capability. It is also equipped with tools and equipment used by today’s professionals in the health industry and sciences fields, giving students experience with the type of equipment they’ll work with once they enter the workforce. The facility houses educational programs including nursing, surgical technology, diagnostic medical sonography and ophthalmology.
Hospitality Demonstration Kitchen and Bistro
Newly renovated in 2016, the Hospitality Demonstration Kitchen and Bistro is preparing students for hospitality industry careers like culinary arts, restaurant management and beverage management. The renovated space contains state-of-the-art, eco-friendly equipment that reflects current industry standards. This includes a USB-programmable combination oven that can heat and steam at the time, induction burners and a top-notch espresso machine. Newly installed monitors and cameras will support the demonstration component of the classroom.
J Building
Fine Arts Programs, the Art Gallery, and the Cox Theatre are located in the J Building.
Lactation Rooms
Triton College cares about helping nursing mothers feel welcome on campus. Rooms are available to all members of the Triton community and guests on campus. In all locations, nursing mothers will need to provide their own pump. Storage of personal belongings or milk in the room is not permitted.

Library - (Learning Resource Center)
Open to students and the public alike, the Triton College Library in the A Building contains more than 75,000 books and other materials, 475 current periodical subscriptions, and numerous print and electronic indexes to journal articles.
The Triton College Library provides curriculum-driven resources, instruction, and programs to increase student success and meet the diverse academic and information needs of the college community.
Meeting and Dining Rooms
Triton offers a wide selection of meeting and/or dining room space that can be configured to accommodate groups of different sizes. Many of these facilities are available for rental at a reasonable price.
Online Courses
With a selection of nearly 100 online courses, Triton College offers the essential flexibility and convenience you require to complete your education. Online learning is can be combined with traditional classes to fit education into your busy life.
Performing Arts Center
The Robert M. Collins Auditorium, located in the Performing Arts Center in the R Building (East campus), comfortably seats 412 guests.
Professional Development Center
The Professional Development Center (PDC) promotes a campus wide commitment to lifelong professional learning through diverse activities and resources that enhance the teaching for learning process. The Triton PDC provides resources for full-time and adjunct faculty, including workshops, courses, recognition events, brown bag lunches, mentoring programs, books and publications. The PDC is located in the E Building, room E-210.
R Building
Offers a wealth of athletic and recreational facilities, including indoor and outdoor sports fields and courts, fitness center, dance studio, Performing Arts Center, indoor track and swimming pool. Most of these facilities are available for rental at a reasonable price.

Engineering Technology, Automotive Technology and Visual Communications Programs are located in the T Building.
Student Center
Triton's beautiful new Student Center (B Building) now serves as a one-stop shop for students to access essential services including registration, advising, financial aid and more. Impressive renovations to the cafeteria area, featuring modern furniture allows students to eat, socialize and study in comfort and style. On the second floor of the student center, grab a bite to eat at Café 64 or the Hospitality Demonstration Kitchen and Bistro. The Student Life area is located on the second floor of the student center, offering students a myriad of ways to get involved at Triton with clubs, organizations, student government and more.
Writing Zone
The Writing Zone works directly with instructors in order to better understand the needs of students. The Writing Zone provides assistance to students writing papers , ESL conversation tables to improve English skills, and other areas requiring writing, reading and speaking. The Writing Zone has computers equipped with writing and reading software. Students can use the space to complete their assignments.
